Before adding aquatic animals
This is a small aquarium and is not suitable for goldfish. Do not choose livestock using a simple centimetres-per-litre rule: adult size, activity, water conditions and species-specific space requirements all matter. Ask a qualified aquatic specialist to confirm a suitable setup before adding animals.
The filter does not make the aquarium self-cleaning. Establish the aquarium before adding livestock, test water quality regularly and carry out appropriate partial water changes and filter maintenance. Lid ventilation does not guarantee safe oxygen levels during a power cut.
